Leadership and Staff

BNC's mission is to increase and coordinate funder investment to achieve economically diverse and revitalized Baltimore neighborhoods.

The Baltimore Neighborhood Collaborative (BNC) is a forum for local and national foundations, banks, corporate giving programs, and state and local government to work together to support the revitalization of Baltimore neighborhoods. Housed at the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers, BNC members develop joint strategies, pool and align funds for grants to target areas, advance policies to strengthen local communities, and attract new support for community development. BNC also increases visibility and support for community development by disseminating timely information and sponsoring community forums.

Through its initiatives, BNC:

  • Invests in strategies to create and promote economically diverse and revitalized neighborhoods.
  • Builds a stronger network of nonprofit community development organizations with the skills and expertise to respond to community issues.
  • Fosters coordination among funders to identify needs, fill gaps, and support a broader system of community development in Baltimore.
