About Us
By participating in committees, workshops and other activities, BNC members work together to develop joint strategies, pool and align funds, advance policies, and attract new support for promising initiatives. BNC also increases visibility for community development through its monthly e-newsletter and timely forums.

Through our initiatives, BNC:
-
Advances neighborhood revitalization by making grants to support: targeted housing rehabilitation, market-building that promotes neighborhood assets, and activities that prevent or mitigate the effects of foreclosure. BNC also provides staff leadership and coordination for the Baltimore Homeownership Preservation Coalition.
-
Promotes transit-centered community development by making investments to attract new housing and retail and to improve neighborhood access to regional jobs and other essential neighborhood amenities.
- Builds nonprofit capacity by providing grants to support internships with community-oriented nonprofits, consultants to address core organizational issues of grantees, and training opportunities that build the skills of executive directors and senior staff.
